![]() | Jarret Izzo Hometown: Brighton, MA Jarret grew up in Western New York and loved music early on listening to The Nutcracker and "Mr. Bach Comes to Call." Early piano lessons involved being rapped on the hand with a wooden ruler. Later piano lessons involved listening to Blood, Sweat & Tears and playing jam sessions in unfurnished basements. ![]() | Jen Porter Hometown: Chicago, IL Website: Jen Porter is an acclaimed Chicago singer, songwriter, entertainer, and a daughter to a preacher and Girl Scout leader.
Growing up with parents who inspired people in the pews and around the campfire, Jen has stoked a fire in the bellies of thousands of fans with her irreverence, passion, and strong smoky voice.
While she pays the rent with “Piano Man” and “Sweet Caroline” as a piano bar entertainer in Chicago, St. Maarten and Aruba, she's been steadily cutting albums and building a following for her own music for the past 10 years. Often, she's backed up by a talented group of musicians, The Most Fabulous Band.
She's been voted Chicago's favorite local musician by readers of the Chicago Free Press. Critics often compare her live-show energy to that of Janis Joplin, her piano style and voice to Natalie Merchant, and the intensity of her song-writing to Fiona Apple.
Closer to the Surface , Jen's fourth album, is a significant step on her musical journey.
“I think this album brings me so much closer to where I want to be as a musician. Just as the title says, I'm closer to the surface,” says Jen. “This album is a testament to how far I've come.”
“Jen Porter is a powerful performer who can bring down the house with her high energy.”
“Closer to the Surface sets out to show the diversity of her talents as a singer/songwriter and push the limits of her creativity. This album gives fans melody, emotion, energy, and a sense of common ground.”

![]() | Jonno Hometown: Boston, MA Jonno has played music since the age of 4, training for 15 years as a classical pianist. Along the way, he acquired guitar, bass, and drum skills (mostly through blatant theft from better-trained musicians) and began recording one-man-band style tracks on a Tascam Porta-One in grade school.
His first club gigs were as substitute drummer for seminal Boston punkers, Lemonheads. After brother and founding member Ben Deily left the band, the two brothers embarked on a strange experiment in musical and fraternal fusion which became known as PODS.
The band enjoyed some regional success in New England, and then, one day, completely failed to get signed to any label, major or otherwise.
Since then, Jonno has dabbled in various pursuits, including, but not limited to: marriage, parenthood, sound, lighting, and, most recently, dueling piano bar gigging. The latter is actually how he now makes his living. He was, in fact, doing this for nearly four years at Howl At The Moon on Bourbon St. until meteorological events made that impossible...

![]() | Keith Allen Hometown: Omaha, NE Website: Keith Allen began to play piano at the age of 3 and after years of playing for family and friends at home, church and school functions, he found himself with a full time job playing piano at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor in his hometown of Melbourne, Florida at the age of 16.
In 1993 a new and exciting entertainment concept came to Orlando in the form of a club called Howl at the Moon Saloon.
The dueling pianos concept itself was becoming increasingly popular all over the country. Dueling Pianos clubs began popping up in major cities across the land and in smaller markets as well. Keith saw this as an opportunity to help spread the concept and to get out and travel again. So, having a couple years of dueling experience under his belt, he struck out as one of the nation’s first free lance dueling pianos players. As a free lance player he has had the opportunity to play all over the United States and work with dozens of talented performers.
In addition to performing at corporate and private events, Mr. Allen is currently the Entertainment Director of Blazin’ Pianos at DJ’s Dugout in Omaha and Bellevue and Brewsky’s in Lincoln, Nebraska, a show he has helped develop over the past 10 years. |
